Senior Cybersecurity architect - Spain
This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile engineer to work as Cybersecurity architect on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme.
Galileo is Europe's Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information. It is funded and owned by the EU, developed by ESA and managed by EUSPA.
CETRA BASE, is currently looking for Senior Cybersecurity Engineers to be part of the Galileo Engineering team.
The position is based in Madrid (Spain).
Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry-out the following tasks:
- Definition of the security architecture of ground segments (control centres and interfaces with stations and other entities), cooperating actively with the other architects within the team (engineering, networks, hardware, software, key management, operations, etc.) and the security officer
- Generation and review of security documentation (Design, plans, technical notes...)
- Close collaboration with the cybersecurity team for the definition of the security model (e.g. operating systems choice, hardening activities, deviations, etc.)
- Liaison between between the cybersecurity team and other technical teams to ensure proper alignment
- Contribution to the processes definition, oriented to stablish security by design
- Identification of potential risks and system threats
- Provision of technical support to the segment teams and customers
- Interaction with client (ESA) and subcontractors (within Europe), including attendance to reviews, formal test milestones execution/supervision, etc.
- Evolution of the security strategy
Essential qualifications and experience
- University degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
- Experience in security architectures of complex IT systems
- Experience in secure network designs
- Experience in cybersecurity
- Experience in risk management
- Experience in virtualization architectures
- Good English level
Desirable
Experience in space projects
Security
In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state.
This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
